EVERY Kanye West Sample!

I knew he sampled, but I had no idea to this extent! I wonder why I’m over here trying to make up original beats, when I can just steal everyone else! Now don’t get it twisted I respect Kanye and his work, but where do u draw the line between sampling and stealing?

I’m not sure myself but here is a funny clip of a guy watching Kayne making a beat!

sampling is the basis of hip hop
and its not stealing because the person who is sampled gets paid
not to mention a good portion of the samples in this video are not samples
but interpolations which are the recreating of samples
or using a melody from the sample
    which is hard
or just a borrowing of lyrics or lyric rhythms

    sampling is hard
and in my opinion can be harder than making an original beat
because youre building something new out of what is already there
it takes ingenuity that isnt necessary when making original beats
as a producer who has done both
a quality sampling job which most of kanyes beats are
especially the graduation and 808s samples takes alot of work
and should not be considered stealing
