Thanksgiving Dinner For Troops
Kels will continue his long standing tradition as a philanthropist as he will be hosting a special Thanksgiving dinner today, November 25, for 200 men and women soldiers from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and other United States Army locations in the Washington, D.C. area. After the supper, which will be at Washington’s Constitution Hall, Kels will have a live performance which will be apart of his “Ladies Make Some Noise!” tour. The soldiers get to attend the concert as Kelly’s guests.
It is true that R. Kelly has some events in the past that are worthy or a head scratch or two, but he has displayed his love for U.S. Troops. Look back to 2003 when his single “Soldier’s Heart” became a huge statement song in the support of the U.S. citizen’s fight in the war in Iraq. He also performed a free concert for 10,000 soldiers in Fort Hood, Texas that year. Love him or hate him, he gives back to those who risk their lives for the United States of America. |
Although he has a very controversial history, one thing that can be said about R. Kelly is that he gives back to the community. Whether through church events or by having local community drives, R. Kelly does his part in lending a helping hand.

50 CENT BEFORE I SELF DESTRUCT SELLS 156K IN IT’S FIRST WEEK

So after Get Rich Or Die Trying sold 872,000 copies it’s 1st week (822,000 in it’s 2nd). Massacre sold 1.14 million copies in the first four days and Curtis sold 691,000 in it’s 1st week, 50 Cent’s latest Before I Self Destruct album sells 156,863 in it’s first week debuting no. 4 on the charts, by far his worst first week out put ever. Yes the the digital age and the countries recession has affected the music industry like never before, yes BISD leaked a month early but so did The Carter II & BP3 and they we all know what Weezy did and Jay sold 450k respectively. Is the The Sound Scan Killer dead? Will 50 put out a Greatest Hits LP fulfilling his Interscope contractual 5 album obligation and ride out in the sunset never to be heard from again? Nigga please. Yes BISD has flopped by 50’s standards and there’s no excuse considering what the man has at his disposal (The Machine, Dr. Dre, Em, Havoc, Sha Money etc.) but remember overall 156k isn’t a flop and how can you count out a man with the best average sales out put in Hip Hop history after one “brick”. On another note I heard Ja, Fat Joe, Cam & Rawse have this latest diddy as their new ring tone. – ICE
